ONly the best takes here.

Day 2 2024 NFL Draft Reactions

BUF (33): Keon Coleman B
Had a third round grade on him but pairing him with Josh Allen raises this grade by a lot. My WR13 and at a position of need (which also raises the grade), better than the WRs taken at the end of round 1

LAC (34): Ladd McConkey A
OT then WR, every Chargers fan can now shut the fuck up which automatically makes this an A. My WR6 and the second best available WR on my big board. Justin has no more excuses if he really is a top 5 QB. A great Keenan replacement too and probably better at this point in their careers.

ATL (35): Ruke Orhorhoro C-
Early and my IDL7, help on the inside is good but would have preferred edge here for sure. Not a bad player but had a 3rd round grade and there are plenty of better players they should have opted for. Not shaping up to be a good draft

WSH (36): Johnny Newton A-
An interesting pick here when edge was the obvious need. The law firm of Allen and Payne is getting older so I get it. They already stripped what was a great DL last year anyway. Time to get younger there while they get young on the offense. Newton was my IDL2 and my 26th best prospect in the draft so this is good value

NE (37): Ja’Lynn Polk B-
Good process here getting your young QB a WR in the same draft (a good trend I can get behind) but... I had him as my WR16 (in a crowded middle of this draft class) and a late 3rd round grade. A necessary pick I just woulda taken a different WR.

TEN (38): T’Vondre Sweat B-
Had a third round grade on him but he is a unicorn in this draft and he should play nose for him. A good fit but too high for me to give any better of a grade. I get it at least

LAR (39): Braden Fiske C+
DT run? lol I'm less high on these guys than most, had a 3rd round grade on him which is close to 2nd at least. Big shoes to fill in LA tho, good luck to him. At a position of need which raises the grade

PHI (40): Cooper DeJean A
Hard to give it anything less than an A, really hope they keep him at CB and not safety but he's a good player, my CB3 and my 11th favorite prospect in the draft

NO (41): Kool-Aid McKinstry A
Right where he should have gone(ish). Ganna be a great two on NO. My CB7 and my 35th best prospect. I always worry about the 2nd CB drafted on a team but as long as he doesn't have to lock down true NFL WR1s in the NFL I'll really love this

HOU (42) Kamari Lassiter A+
FUCK FUCK FUCK I HATE HOUSTON, this is a great pick. Scary team in Houston. My CB5 and at a position of need. Nothing to dislike about this

ARI (43): Max Melton D-
My CB16, not worth a day 2 selection, reach reach reach. They needed CB help but this isn't it. My 97th ranked prospect. Does he play slot, can he play outside in the NFL? too many questions this early in the draft

LVR (44): Jackson Powers-Johnson A+
The next Tyler Linderbaum and at a position of need? They building up some blockers (including Bowers) is a good call for their potential franchise QB to slide into (next year). Love it

GB (45): Edgerrin Cooper B+
See him as more of a traditional LB and my number 1 LB in the draft. 49th best prospect on my draft board this is about right, could give it an A-ish grade but they should have taken a CB

CAR (46): Jonathon Brooks B-
They were in need of a RB and this is about the time where it's appropriate to take one. My RB4 and he doesn't need to be 100% for this year, I'm not as high as other guys on him and my RB4 and had a 3rd round grade on him.

NYG (47): Tyler Nubin A
Great pick and at a position of need, should have gone earlier. Not much else to say, grab the BPA Giants and you'll have a great haul.

JAX (48): Maason Smith D
Baalke continues to disappoint in the 2nd round; another reach for a player I had a 4th round grade on him. This run killed the CB and IDL which I think they really wanted (and should have wanted). Need a CB in round 3. My 99th best prospect, bruh.

CIN (49): Kris Jenkins B+
A position of need to make DL even scarier (as of now), but had a third round grade on him. But he's at least my DT4 so that boosts the grade. I don't know how Michael Hall is still out there after this run. Jenkins is strong for a smaller DT which is huge for this class, considering

WSH (50): Mike Sainristil A
Should have gone earlier, best pure slot CB in the draft and a hell of a player. Might have preferred an outside CB to move St. Juste back to slot but they have talent at CB (I think Forbes can bounce back). My CB6 and the 31st best prospect on my BB

PIT (51): Zach Frazier B-
Lower than most but gatta love PIT focusing on that OL with the amount WR talent left to grab in this draft (and the lack of OL talent comparatively) My second best center and 73rd best prospect.

IND (52): Adonai Mitchell A+
The AFC South just keeps out-drafting the Jags in round 2 and if it continues they will start to fade. I know he was off some boards but who the fuck cares. Great talent and he's going to be nightmares for defenses for years, what a pick. He's also boom or bust but man do I believe in the boom

WSH (53): Ben Sinnott D
Reaaacchhhhh, nowhere near as high on him as others. Had a 4th round grade. At least they need a TE and good to at least try and get weapons for your QB. The Brenton Strange pick of this years draft lol

CLE (54): Michael Hall A
I didn't know who would take him but the rich get richer. CLE has little holes but this was one of em and they got the best DT taken this round. Great job

MIA (55): Patrick Paul B+
DUDE IS LARGE, I get it, they probably needed at least a backup T and he is a project. Had a 3rd round grade on him and is my 9th ranked OT but my 59th ranked player. Like the pick, MIA has a good team and they need to plan for a future without Armstead

DAL (56): Marshawn Kneeland B-
Not my favorite edge, there are 3 I'd rather have over him but he's my 62nd ranked plater and has sky high potential. On a team with lots of needs and playoff potential I might have gone with a safer pick but if this works out it will be a steal

TB (57): Chris Braswell A-
An edge I woulda have taken over Marshawn Kneeland (pick 56) lol. He's strong and an athlete, like what they have cooking in TB. My 46th best prospect in the draft and at a position of need

GB (58): Javon Bullard A-
Idk where he players, has the potential to be a jack of all trades master of none but can make an instant impact on a team that needs secondary help. I like the fit which helps the grade. He's also my 50th best player on the board but he's weird to project.

HOU (59): Blake Fisher D+
Ok so it's not just the Jags that fuck up the second round in the AFC South cool. Didn't even crack my top 100. he's big but I'd only take a swing in the 4th or later. My OT13 in a top heavy class. They should address T at least but they can get a better one later lol

BUF (60): Cole Bishop C-
Soooo I see him his a LB/S hybrid, think the Bills want him to play straight up safety and that's a mistake, not a fan but at least he isn't bereft of talent. 92nd best prospect here but still ok with a C- grade

DET (61): Ennis Rakestraw B+
I like the other Mizz CB better but he's my 69th best player on my board so this is fine. Doubling up at CB is fine if you view him as the slot corner but IDK, he's talented at least so I like that. Could have been a "B" but B+ is the high mark

BAL (62): Roger Rosengarten C
He feels like a Raven and they needed OL help. A project I would have preferred in late round 3 at the earliest but couldn't have asked for a better spot for him to land. A reach but not too bad all things above considered. Outside my top 100 tho, a weak OT class too.

KC (63): Kingsley Suamataia A+
A much better pick than the one that came before this, probably the last good OT prospect here that isn't too much of a dart throw. Worth the trade up esp because 49ers could have easily taken him. My 44th ranked player, athletic and strong, niceeee

SF (64): Jalen Green A
My 64th best prospect lmao, have to give it an "A" I think I get at least one of those a year that lines up. Like his play style and giga-sticky, also at a position of need. Nice job SF

NYJ (65): Malachi Corley D+
D+ Not a fan, crowded WR prospect group in the middle and he's at the tail end. I'll say what is saving this grade is he brings a different dynamic to an already dynamic jets WR room. My WR22, but a good spot for him at least

ARI (66): Trey Benson A+
A+ Best runningback in the class and at a position of need, even if Conner can still play you want young RBs. Love it, get this offense some playmakers this draft. Hard to see many more A's in this draft but this is def one of them. My 38th ranked talent

WSH (67): Brandon Coleman N/A
Guard that I didn't scout so can't give a grade but I like drafting in the trenches for your young QB, has everything been offense except one? Nice draft for WSH so far. Seems like this is about fair for him re: secondary sources

NE (68): Caedan Wallace N/A
Didn't scout either, guess it's that time for me but I liked him from the scant stuff I saw. Not sure if he's ganna start but he's a good player. Maybe a little early for an early 3rd selection but probably worth it. Hard to say anything solid

LAC (69): Junior Colson B-
My 87th best prospect, not at a premium position but at one of need. I could like it more but he was confusing to scout, good run defender maybe, a project maybe. Hard to tell but he'll have to be good right off the bat because he should start

NYG (70): Andru Phillips D
Developmental guy this early on a team that needs instant CB help isn't great. It's cool he's physical and can tackle or whatever but I'm not convinced he can cover. Not what I would have done and saved other teams from making this mistake. At least he improved from last year to this lmao

ARI (71): Isaiah Adams N/A
Not scouted and not sure he should have gone this high

CAR (72): Trevin Wallace F
Incredibly raw and not worth it, had a 6th round grade. Bad.

DAL (73): Cooper Beebe C+
Versatile and they needed OL help but he didn't make it into my top 100 and he's a 4th rounder at the earliest. Positional value makes it higher than it should be.

ATL (74): Bralen Trice A+
Great pick, honestly really helps at edge. My 43rd ranked prospect and a pressure machine. Love it and they needed edge so bad.

CHI (75): Kiran Amegadjie A-
Has some real weaknesses but in the third I'll take a chance on him now. Glad he didn't go earlier. Bears with no bad picks this draft lol. My 74th ranked player, lmao so close.

DEN (76): Jonah Elliss A+
I really didn't to give out this many A's this late in the draft but he's at a position of need and my 47th ranked prospect. Impact run defender, good first move, big on tape, has plenty of pass rush moves. Hard not to fall in love

LVR (77): Delmar Glaze N/A
This feels early but at least they are pouring resources into the OL. My scant knowledge says this was a reach tho.

HOU (78): Calen Bullock A-
My 60th ranked prospect and my second ranked Safety, a very nice pick. A Jimmie Ward replacement? He might be better at this point. Good pick.

IND (79): Matt Goncalves D+
Trading up for him is bad, had a late 4th or 5th round grade on him. Not worth a top 100 selection at all. At least he's big

CIN (80): Jermaine Burton A-
This is right for him and he's a good player, potential replacement for when Tee leaves? Think this is where it's at. Love CIN drafting guys replacements while they are still on the team. It just insures continued success.

SEA (81): Christian Haynes A+
One of the last good OL here. 81 is way too late, at one of the only positions they really need (besides QB). I hate being so aggressive with good grades but he could have been a 2nd round pick and I would have liked it.

ARI (82): Tip Reiman D-
6th round grade but all he'll be doing is run blocking so this saves it from being an F.

LAR (83): Blake Corum C-
This is about right for him but I don't think he's that good, the Rams love drafting RBs I guess lol. Should have drafted somewhere else and used one of their later round picks on an RB.

PIT (84): Roman Wilson A+
You know he's ganna be good, he's a 3rd round WR for PIT. My 39th best prospect, so yea it's a certified steal. A good compliment to Pickens too. He's ganna be such a good fantasy player, hopefully as soon as this year if Russ starts

CLE (85): Zak Zinter B-
A little early, like CLE filling in the trenches. Good run blocker is ganna be nice if their RBs can stay healthy and with such a good defense they are ganna wanna run the ball. In other words, good fit.

SF (86): Dominick Puni B-
A little raw and a little early but I like him (as a guard). An encouraging prospect that can develop. Good landing spot for him and my 8th best IOL I scouted (although thats not as good of a metric as we get deeper into the draft)

DAL (87): Marist Liufau C
I don't love it, outside my top 100. Could be a good blitzer and isn't good in coverage right now but has shown flashes. My LB8 and had a 4th round grade but this is fine and close enough

GB (88): Marshawn Lloyd C-
I like Lloyd, but there are better RB prospects, and they already signed/resigned two RBs this offseason so seems like not a great decision. He's a good player tho

TB (89): Tykee Smith C-
I really don't know how to grade him, it's ganna depend on how you deploy him. Can tackle and play Safety but they already have a great Safety in that role. Could find a spot for him and that could improve the grade. But to be fair had a 5th on him

ARI (90): Elijah Jones D+
He's a project I wouldn't invest a third in. he's an all over the place huge boom or bust prospect. I lean toward bust with this draft capital applied to him. I get what teams see in him with his speed and measurables

GB (91): Ty'Ron Hopper N/A
Weird to trade up for an off ball linebacker, don't like it

TB (92): Jalen McMillan A-
Good pick, they need young good WRs and he's in the glut of 3rd rounders I like. Diverse route tree and open a lot but not a top tier guy. Will be a good 3 on TB. My 65th best prospect

BAL (93): Adisa Isaac B+
This a good pick, he's a high floor low ceiling type of player who can start or rotate in right away. Useful for BAL this season at pick 93? love it. Just can't give it higher because he's a late 3rd round prospect

PHI (94): Jalyx Hunt C-
My Edge19, there are much better players here but if he's ganna develop behind what PHI has and what they've coached he has a good chance of being a relevant pass rushers as early as next year. I just think 3rd round is too high

BUF (95): DeWayne Carter D
A high floor but do the Bills need him, there are better players out there if looking for a DT, even a pass rushing guy is what you were looking for. Not a fan, had a 5th round grade on him

JAX (96): Jarrian Jones C-
At least it was CB, he's a project which is fine for JAX this year but he was beat bad last year at some times and then he was 2nd round talent at others. I had a 5th round grade but I get why JAX likes him.

CIN (97): McKinnley Jackson B
You know what, I like him a lot. Big and has quickness and good hands. I could have been higher on him as my IDL10 but they guys in front have some good upside. I like reinforcing the DL.

PIT (98): Payton Wilson A-
A good pick my 61st best player on my board. Good value for a LB which is kinda crazy. Nice draft by PIT. Think most people will agree.

LAR (99): Kamren Kinchens B+
Great value! I thought I'd be an island with this one but at least the Rams are with me. My 89th ranked player, not sure if a position of need but he's a rangey guy with good instincts

WSH (100): Luke McCaffery D-
Over Troy Franklin and Johnny Wilson is crazy enough but I prefer Devontez Walker, Javon Baker and Ainias Smith in his tier. Just not worth it. But not an F because at least he has a 5th round grade on him.
